Nepal, Rewati Bashyal

Rewati Bashyal is a simple wife and mother with a bright idea and an entrepreneurial spirit that IDE has enabled to change the life of her family. Rewati had the simple dream to raise pigs while her children were at school and her husband at work repairing shoes.

She currently has a mother pig, male pig and 8 piglets. Today the income from the business generates as equal to the husband's earning from the shop. With the additional income they have been able to continue the education of their two daughters and son. They are also able to provide more nutritious food for the family.

As a woman, Rewati is especially grateful for the ability to contribute to the financial stability of her family without neglecting her duties as wife and mother. Her empowerment has encouraged her to plan for and invest in her small business. Her future plans include moving the pig pens to a better location and setup outlets for sewage. She also plans to maintain records on sales, expenses and medical history of the animals which points out the typical entrepreneurial attitude of IDE-UK’s customers.
